5 Questions To Improve Your Mood

It’s easy to listen to fear, worry, and doubt, so let’s take a break to listen to what is good. Here are five questions you can ask yourself:

1 – What are your wins from this week? Even if they are small, write them down. Did you go for a walk, did you make a new recipe, did you take time to connect with a friend? What went well or what did you enjoy?

2 – What are you grateful for? Be specific and, again, write them down.

3 – What is something positive about you that you can tell yourself?

4 – What positive, simple truth you can remind yourself of? This might be a simple fact, like, “today is Friday!” Or, it might be a quote or a Bible verse that reminds you of what is good.

5 – What are you looking forward to? Even something simple, like what you are planning for dinner or your weekend plans.

It is only fair to give the good things equal time in your mind and thoughts!

If it was a struggle to answer these questions, you may need the help of a counselor. You don’t have to work through this alone.
